Football Insider claims Tottenham will block Dominic Solanke's exit in January because Richarlison is to be sold, and the club's CEO told the Fan Advisory Board it must become a better seller.

A Tottenham man has spent the morning holding the pedestrian crossing outside the stadium, after reading that the club will not greenlight Dominic Solanke's exit in January.

The Herald understands the claim originates with Football Insider, which reports that Solanke's route out is blocked because Richarlison is to be sold and a replacement striker signed. The striker is said to remain part of the club's long-term plans. It reached the man via Spurs Web at approximately 7:40am.

They've said it won't be greenlit. Well, it's not getting greenlit on my watch.

The crossing sits on a quiet road on a day with no fixture. In the first hour it was approached by one pedestrian, who crossed anyway and was not stopped. The man has made a note of this.

He has taken the phrase long-term at its word, and arrived with a folding chair, a flask and a sandwich he has divided into portions to last until roughly the end of the season.

The report also notes that Vinai Venkatesham told the Fan Advisory Board the club must become better sellers, and that PSR is a genuine constraint. The man was aware of this and described it as a separate light.

Sell at the right time, fine. This isn't the right time. It's on red.

Asked who had authorised him to hold the crossing, he said nobody had authorised the opposite either.

The crossing, which is automatic, changed at noon without consulting him.
