Football Insider reports that Tottenham could move for the Bayern Munich defender next summer, with Vincent Kompany understood not to sanction a sale in January, and the sitting was held on the 7.41am service.

A group chat of five Tottenham supporters has reached a formal position on reported interest in Kim Min-jae, the Bayern Munich defender, following a sitting that opened at 7.41am and was conducted entirely on the top deck of a bus.

The matter was tabled after Football Insider reported that Tottenham could move for the 29-year-old next summer, when Bayern are said to be open to offers. The same report states that Kompany will not sanction a sale in January.

The chat, which has met daily since 2019, operates under standing orders. Three thumbs-up constitute a quorum, and a fourth is required to carry a motion. The chair, who sits at the front, ruled that the report was understood to be credible, on the grounds that he had read it twice.

January's a no. Summer's a maybe. So we wait. That's the position.

Members noted that, according to the report, Spurs have kept Kim on a shortlist for several years, since he nearly joined in 2020. One member asked whether the club has been monitoring him the whole time. The chair said he assumed so.

An amendment was then moved asking whether Tottenham need another central defender at all. It was ruled out of order, although the Herald notes that the original report raises the same point in its final paragraph.

The club's position of 20th in the Premier League was acknowledged briefly and deferred to any other business. The motion to wait until the summer was carried at 7.52am, with one abstention from a member who had fallen asleep against the window.

The position has been communicated to nobody. The bus continued towards Seven Sisters.
