Roberto De Zerbi said ahead of the Premier League match against Coventry City that Savinho felt a muscular problem on Tuesday before the Marbella trip, and the winger has played six times for Tottenham.

A Tottenham man spent Monday afternoon on the forecourt of the stadium converting the phrase "some weeks" into a unit of rope, following the head coach's update on Savinho's muscle injury.

Roberto De Zerbi told reporters ahead of the Coventry City match that the winger felt a muscular problem on Tuesday, before the squad left for Marbella. Asked for a more precise recovery estimate, he said: "I don't know, but some weeks for sure."

The man, who holds no medical qualification and once described a calf as "the back bit of the leg", has issued his own clinical assessment.

Some weeks is a lot of weeks. It isn't a couple. A couple is two. This is more than a couple, and less than a few months, so I've done a knot for each one.

The Herald understands the rope is eleven feet long and carries four knots, with a fifth left loose pending further guidance. He described the fifth as "the maybe week".

He also advised that the muscle in question is "probably one of the main ones", and that the injury should be monitored by anyone passing the stadium, which on a non-match day was one man with a pushchair.

The man confirmed he had studied the winger's record in six appearances, one goal and one assist, both in the EFL Cup. He noted that the rope, by comparison, has been tied to the bollard on both sides.

At time of going to press, he had untied the third knot and tied it again.
