A report says Tottenham are realising they cannot keep taking Savio for granted, after two chances created and five dribbles completed against Manchester United, and it prints every paragraph twice for emphasis.

A Tottenham man has spent the morning outside the stadium thanking things, following a report that says Tottenham are realising they can no longer keep taking Savio for granted.

The report states that Savio created two chances and completed five dribbles against Manchester United, and that Dominic Solanke should have scored at least two goals from the resulting crosses. It describes the winger as the unluckiest player at the club, and possibly in European football, a claim it makes without hesitation.

The man, a season ticket holder, read the piece twice. The Herald notes that this was unavoidable, as each paragraph appears twice in the original, and that he read both.

If it's happening to Savio, it's happening to everything. I'm not leaving anyone out.

He began with the railings, then moved on to Turnstile Four, a bollard, a drain cover and the lamp post, and by half past ten had thanked eleven items in forty minutes. A passing cyclist was thanked in error and has been asked to wait for a second round.

The report adds that Savio has produced nothing decisive since his debut off the bench against Charlton Athletic in the League Cup, and that he is not part of the calculus. The man has not established which calculus, and has begun counting the bays in the car park in case it is that one.

He has awarded the railings seven out of ten, and the lamp post a provisional six, pending a second look in better light.

He has not yet thanked the gate he walks through every other Saturday, and says he is saving it.
