Borsen Calls £6m NFL Figure Overstated, So Season Ticket Holder Positions Bucket Beneath Bottom Line

Football finance expert Stefan Borsen has told Football Insider that Tottenham are unlikely to take £6m per NFL game, suggesting the bottom line is nearer £1m, while the supporter's bucket, borrowed from a garage, holds nine litres.
A Tottenham man has taken up a position at the foot of the stadium wall with a bucket, after learning that not all of the money reported to come from the NFL falls through to the bottom line.
The Herald understands the figure at issue is £6m per game. Football finance expert Stefan Borsen told Football Insider that Tottenham taking that sum as a hosting fee was "unlikely", and that the games are not worth much more than £1m at the bottom line once set-up, the pitch change and staffing are counted.
The man, who read the item on his phone at 7:40am, concluded that the remaining five million pounds must be somewhere and that it had probably dropped.
If it's not going through to the bottom line, it's going somewhere. I'm only standing where it would land.
The bucket, a nine litre plastic model with a handle, was borrowed from a garage and has been placed directly beneath what he describes as the line. He has measured the wall twice and is confident of his reading.
Borsen conceded that a separate revenue stream is a good thing for the club. Alasdair Gold has reported that the NFL income has risen between five and 10 per cent over the last couple of years, and that food and drink eaten in the seats make up much of it. The man has noted these points and is keeping the bucket where it is.
At the time of going to press the bucket contained a single leaf, which he has logged.
