Hooligan Soccer reports Tottenham are among several Premier League clubs monitoring Sporting CP winger Geny Catamo, who has a €60m release clause, and the unit has a stated range of 250 metres.
A Tottenham season ticket holder has propped a baby monitor against the nearest stadium gate after learning that the club are among several Premier League sides monitoring Sporting CP winger Geny Catamo.
The Herald understands the report originates with Hooligan Soccer, which names Sunderland, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Brighton as fellow watchers, with AC Milan and Como also interested. The man says he can only speak for Tottenham.
The unit, bought for £19 and previously stationed in a nursery, was positioned at ten past seven on Saturday morning. Its stated range is 250 metres. Sporting CP play in Lisbon.
It says monitoring. So I'm monitoring. Somebody has to be doing it at this end.
The report adds that Catamo has a goal and four assists in eight league appearances and a contract running to June 2029, with a €60m release clause that Sporting are said to regard as a deterrent.
The man has written the figure on the back of an envelope and held it up to the unit twice. The unit has so far relayed one pigeon, a lorry reversing, and a sound he describes as possibly a negotiation.
At time of going to press the device's light had turned amber, which he has read as interest. The manual says it means low battery.
He has gone to buy batteries.
