Tottenham Man Holds Van de Ven Debate Outside Stadium Anyway, With Motion Seconded By Himself

A Spurs web column says Tottenham cannot force any Micky van de Ven debate after the captain was rested for the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, where Marcos Senesi started alongside Jan Paul van Hecke, and the stadium was closed at the time.
A Tottenham man convened a debate on the future of the Spurs back line outside the stadium on Saturday morning, several hours after a web column advised that no such debate could be forced.
The column, published after Tottenham's 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, notes that Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke both picked up very minor injuries while away with the Netherlands, and that Van de Ven was the one rested.
It adds that Marcos Senesi started next to Van Hecke, that many supporters felt Senesi had the better of it, and that to suggest he should start ahead of the club captain would be a very dangerous take.
The man arrived at the forecourt at 9:40am with a folding stepladder, a tea towel and a flask, and set two chairs in a row facing the lectern. Neither chair has been claimed.
I'm not forcing anything. I'm just opening the floor, and I'll take the first question myself.
He then proposed the motion that Senesi should be starting, seconded it, heard himself out for eleven minutes, and moved to an amendment on the grounds that the column had been very clear about the captain's dribbles completed per game, which it gives as 0.2.
A second amendment, that nobody would be forcing anything if they all just agreed with him, was ruled out of order by the man, who was also in the chair.
The motion was carried one vote to nil. He has asked for the minutes to be read back to the pigeon.
