Spurs 3-1 Coventry Highlights Send Supporter To Stadium With Highlighter Pen To Mark Up The Forecourt

Sky Sports published Premier League highlights of Spurs 3-1 Coventry, and a season ticket holder has taken the word literally, arriving at the stadium with two pens and a stepladder.

A Tottenham man arrived at the stadium forecourt early on a non-match day armed with a fluorescent highlighter pen, having read that Sky Sports had published highlights of Spurs 3-1 Coventry in the Premier League.

The Herald understands he watched the package once, noted the scoreline, and concluded that the club had left the remainder of the afternoon unmarked and in need of attention.

They said highlights. So I've come to highlight. Nobody else has turned up with a pen.

Our correspondent observed him begin at the base of the nearest bollard and work steadily upward, pausing only to check the cap, which he described as a bit dry.

By half past ten he had completed one stripe along a low wall, roughly the length of a hallway, which he confirmed was a fair representation of the 3-1.

Passers-by were invited to confirm that the stripe was clearly visible. Most did so without breaking stride, and one asked whether it was the way to the megastore.

The stadium was closed at the time of writing, as it had been the previous day, and the day before that.

He has since asked to borrow a ruler.
