Pedro Porro has told Instagram followers he is \"almost back\" from his hamstring injury, according to Football London, posting gym footage of box jumps ahead of Coventry on Monday night, and the nearest bin to the stadium is hip height.

A Tottenham man has begun a programme of supervised box jumps on the forecourt of the stadium, following an Instagram Story in which Pedro Porro described himself as "almost back".

The Spain right-back, who has started three matches for Spurs this season and left the Aston Villa game after 19 minutes with a hamstring problem on September 19, posted footage from the first team gym showing a leap onto a chest-high plyometric box. A lightning emoji was attached. The Herald understands the emoji has been noted.

The man, a season ticket holder of long standing, watched the clip on a bus and was on the forecourt within the hour. He has since stepped onto a standard wheelie bin on two occasions, each time landing, in his words, "properly".

He's almost back, so I'm almost back. We're on the same programme.

The programme was not shared with the club. It consists of the bin, a second bin, and a fifteen-minute warm-up that the man describes as mostly standing near the first bin.

Our correspondent, who holds no medical qualification, observed that the bin is roughly hip height against the chest-high box, and that the man's hamstrings, which he declared to be in good working order, were not tested at any stage. He did say the left one felt "a bit tight" in the car park, which he took as a sign of solidarity.

With Coventry at home on Monday night and Chelsea away on Saturday, the man has pencilled in a phased return to the pavement for Sunday, subject to a final assessment by his wife.

The bin was collected at ten past eight.
