Spurs Web, citing Football Insider on Bournemouth and talkSPORT on Fulham, says Thomas Frank is wanted by three Premier League clubs, and Tottenham host Fulham on December 3.

A Tottenham householder has read the same report about Thomas Frank four times since seven o'clock and reports that it is now substantially larger than when he began.

The original item, which the Herald has traced, states that Bournemouth have held internal conversations about the former Tottenham manager, that Crystal Palace are also interested, and that talkSPORT has Fulham as a possible destination. It was sourced to Football Insider and talkSPORT. It has not been sourced to anybody since.

The first website to carry it described Bournemouth as contemplating an appointment. The second said they were considering one. By the third, three clubs were in a race, and by the fourth the race had become a fierce scramble for Frank's signature.

It said three clubs yesterday. It says three clubs today. But today it's urgent.

The Herald examined all four versions side by side on a laminated placemat. Each contained the same three clubs, the same single source for each, and the same reminder that Tottenham face Fulham on December 3 and again at Craven Cottage on January 6, 2027. No version contained a fresh fact, a name, or a date on which anything might be decided.

It is understood that one paragraph, which notes that the Dane's time at Tottenham ended badly, appears in all four unaltered, and has been read by the householder with the same expression each time.

He has since put the kettle on for a fifth version.
