Sky Sports published highlights of Manchester United 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, and a Tottenham supporter has since established that they run to considerably less than a match.
A Tottenham supporter has begun a formal search of the stadium forecourt for the greater part of a football match, after viewing the Premier League highlights of Manchester United 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur and noting that it did not take ninety minutes.
The Herald understands the man watched the package twice, once on his phone and once on the television, and on both occasions arrived at the same figure, which was a few minutes.
They've shown us the goals and a bit of the build-up. Where's the rest of it? Somebody's had it.
He made the remark at 8:40am on Sunday, standing outside a closed turnstile on a day on which no match was scheduled and no member of staff was present. The match itself took place in Manchester.
By mid-morning he had measured the forecourt with a tape, checked beneath a bench, and put a question to a pigeon. The pigeon declined to comment.
He has also written down the final score on the back of an envelope, in case it is later disputed, and has underlined highlights twice, which he describes as the clue.
A neighbour who was asked whether the remaining minutes might simply have been played and not shown said the man had considered this and ruled it out.
At the time of going to press he was still looking.
