Brighton Scored 16 In Five So Supporter Outside Stadium Is Auditioning Relative Unknowns For Spurs

A column on a Spurs website says bottom-placed Tottenham should take encouragement from Brighton, who have scored 16 goals in five league games without a proven goalscorer, while Spurs have the second-worst shot-conversion rate in the division at 2.82%, per Opta.
A Tottenham season ticket holder has spent the morning on the forecourt of the stadium asking members of the public whether they are relatively unknown, after a column observed that Brighton have scored 16 goals in five league games without a proven goalscorer at the highest level.
The column, published on a Spurs website following the three-week international break, notes that Tottenham are bottom, are yet to win in the league, and did not score until Matchday 5, by which point Aston Villa were 3-0 up. It adds that the club's xG stands at 5.00, and that the team are "bereft of a No. 10".
The man read the passage about Brighton's "group of relative unknowns" twice on the top deck of a bus, then got off at the stadium, which was not his stop.
It says unknowns. I have never heard of most of the people on this pavement. That is the entire criteria.
By eleven o'clock he had approached nine people, among them a postal worker, a man waiting for a delivery and a woman who asked him to move. Two were ruled out on the grounds that he knew them.
The column also names Dominic Solanke, who scored 19 times for Bournemouth in the top flight, and Omar Marmoush, who has 87 career goals. The Herald understands the supporter has noted both and intends to build around them, with the unknowns arranged in a supporting role.
The column does not recommend any of this. Our correspondent checked twice.
The postal worker has agreed to return at two.
