Spurs v Coventry Guide Tells Anyone On The Move To Follow, So Supporter Walks Laps

Sky Sports says Tottenham host Coventry on Monday Night Football at 8pm, with live coverage available to anyone on the move, and one lap of the stadium forecourt takes a supporter four minutes.

A Tottenham man began walking laps of the stadium forecourt at 9.40am on Monday, after reading that Sky Sports coverage of the club's meeting with Coventry is available to anyone on the move.

The preview, published ahead of the 8pm kick-off, states that those away from a television may follow the match through a dedicated match blog. The man has taken the instruction as a condition of entry.

It says on the move. It doesn't say on a bench. I'm not going to be the one who stopped.

Our correspondent timed the circuit at four minutes, with a brief slowing at the megastore corner and a longer one by the bins. By lunchtime he had completed eleven laps and a seam of the paving had begun to take on a shine.

The same preview records that Spurs, struggling in the relegation zone, are still searching for a first league win, and that they drew 1-1 at Manchester United last time out. The man confirmed he was aware of all of this and had decided to take it at walking pace.

It adds that Dejan Kulusevski will be in the matchday squad, and that Rodrigo Bentancur begins a three-match suspension. The man paused for neither development, though he did slow slightly for the first.

Stadium staff said the forecourt is not scheduled to be open to the public until Monday evening, and that he had arrived through a gap nobody could identify. Coventry, who sit 14th after beating Newcastle 4-1, were unavailable for comment on the laps.

At 4.10pm he was seen to stop, remove a phone from his pocket, and read the blog's opening line before putting it away and continuing.
