A report published on 13 October says Tottenham dodged a bullet by not signing Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu in the summer, and the 1-1 draw at Manchester United was Antonin Kinsky's sixth league game of the season.

Sir,

I write as a member of the upstairs group chat on the 253, which met on Tuesday between Manor House and Stamford Hill and reached a formal position on the goalkeeper question. I am instructed to report it to your readers in full.

The chat noted that a report on a football website says Tottenham dodged a bullet by not signing Noah Atubolu, the Freiburg goalkeeper who was scouted towards the end of last season. The chat further noted that Antonin Kinsky, withdrawn after 17 minutes in Madrid in February, has since been given a second chance by Roberto De Zerbi following Guglielmo Vicario's hernia surgery.

I said it was Kinsky from the start. I said it in August. Possibly July.

The member who made this remark had, according to the minutes, been asking for Brandon Austin on the same bus in September. The chair ruled that the earlier remark be struck from the record and that the later one stand, on the grounds that it was louder.

The chat has also resolved that it understands Kinsky made a save from Bryan Mbeumo in the draw at Manchester United, and that this is proof of everything. A further motion, that Atubolu be described as "fine, probably", was carried without a vote as the bus had reached the lights.

The chat wishes it noted that none of its members has seen Atubolu play. Two have seen a clip. One has seen the clip twice.

The position will be reviewed at the next stop, or on Thursday, whichever is sooner.

Yours, a passenger, upstairs, at the front.
